From May 22 to 23, 2025, at the invitation of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Ambassador Ma Shengkun visited Transcarpathian (Zakarpattia) Region. During the visit he held separate meetings with the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration Myroslav Biletskyi and the Mayor of Uzhhorod Bohdan Andriiv. The sides held in-depth exchanges on China-Ukraine relations and cooperation in economic and trade, science and technology, education and culture, as well as regional-level interaction.

Besides, Ambassador Ma Shengkun also visited Uzhhorod National University, where he had a discussion meeting with the Vice Rector Myroslava Lendel and students majoring in international relations and other fields.

During the visit, Ambassador Ma also took part in a business forum and other events organized by the Ukrainian side.
