On August 15, 2025, Ambassador Ma Shengkun paid a visit to Cherkasy region. He held separate meetings with the Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets and the Mayor of Cherkasy Anatolii Bondarenko. They had in-depth discussions on China–Ukraine relations, economic and trade cooperation, regional partnerships and other matters of mutual interest.
