On September 23, 2025, Ambassador Ma Shengkun visited Odesa region, where he held separate meetings with the head of Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration Oleg Kiper and Head of Odesa City Council Gennadiy Trukhanov. They held in-depth exchanges on China–Ukraine relations, economic and trade cooperation, regional partnerships and other issues of mutual interest.
