Embassy of China in Ukraine hosted reception marking the 76th anniversary of the PRC
On September 29, 2025, Embassy of China in Ukraine hosted a reception at the InterContinental Kyiv to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. More than 500 guests attended the event, including Ambassador Ma Shengkun, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada, government and local authorities of Ukraine, universities and research institutions, diplomats from foreign embassies and international organizations, accredited in Ukraine, as well as representatives of Chinese companies, students and the Chinese community in Ukraine.

In his remarks, Ambassador Ma reviewed China’s significant development achievements and stressed that China’s growth will bring more opportunities for the world. He underlined that the Communist Party of China, as the world’s largest governing party, clearly understands that full and rigorous self-governance is an unceasing endeavor and that self-reform is a journey to which there is no end. The CPC will stay true to its original aspiration and mission and remain the strong leadership core in socialism with Chinese characteristics.
China will work with all countries to advance the Global Governance Initiative, proposed by President Xi Jinping, remain committed to the path of peaceful development, uphold genuine multilateralism and jointly promote more democratic international relations and a more equitable international order.
Ambassador Ma reaffirmed that China and Ukraine are strategic partners and that China stands ready to expand mutually beneficial cooperation, deliver benefits to both peoples and open a new chapter in bilateral ties. He added that China will continue to work with the international community to promote a ceasefire, with a view to reaching a fair, durable and binding peace agreement as soon as possible.

Deputy Prime Minister Kachka and Deputy Foreign Minister Perebyinis praised China’s achievements, highly valued the sound development of China–Ukraine relations and cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields, and expressed gratitude to China for supporting Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity and for providing humanitarian assistance. They reaffirmed Ukraine’s readiness to further broaden cooperation with China and looked forward to China playing a positive role in helping Ukraine achieve peace as soon as possible.

The reception was held in a solemn yet festive atmosphere. Chinese students’ emotional performance of the national anthems of both countries was met with warm applause. Guests exchanged greetings to the accompaniment of traditional Chinese music and conveyed their best wishes on the 76th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.
