On October 14, 2025, commemorating the 86th anniversary of the sacrifice of Hryhorii Kulishenko, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine Wang Zhenguang visited the hero’s birthplace — the village of Cherepyn in Cherkasy region — and laid flowers at his monument on behalf of the Chinese Embassy.

During the visit, Wang Zhenguang also held cordial talks with the authorities of the village and the members of Kulishenko’s family.
