On December 15, 2025, Ambassador Ma Shengkun visited Ivano-Frankivsk region. During the trip, he held separate meetings with Svitlana Onyshchuk, Head of the Regional State Administration, and Ruslan Martsinkiv, Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk. They held detailed discussions on the development of China–Ukraine relations, interregional cooperation and other matters of mutual interest.
