On August 26, the 2025 Autumn sports games of Chinese students in Ukraine, organized by the Embassy of China in Ukraine and the Chinese Students Association in Ukraine, were successfully held in Kyiv. About 100 participants took part in these sports games, including Chinese students from a wide range of Ukrainian universities and young diplomats from the Embassy of China. Ambassador Ma Shengkun attended the event and delivered welcome remarks.

Ambassador Ma warmly welcomed all the students actively participating in the games and expressed sincere gratitude to all people who had worked hard to organize the event. He noted that life in Ukraine is marked by special and extraordinary circumstances, as the security situation remains serious. Against all the odds, the sports games were organized to enrich students’ extracurricular life, strengthen their health, relieve stress and build a platform to promote communication, friendship, solidarity, mutual support and shared progress. He encouraged everyone to participate with enthusiasm and demonstrate their spirit and skills.

Ambassador Ma also emphasized that with the sports games concluding, a new academic semester was about to begin. He urged students to return to their classrooms with renewed passion, uphold the proud tradition of studying abroad in service for the nation, remain devoted to their motherland, aim high and study diligently. He expressed hope that they would grow into capable specialist as soon as possible, dedicating their knowledge and abilities to China and the Chinese people. May the light of youth shine on the path of pursuing the dreams.
